The CNYSPCA receives its funding
from varied sources: fundraising events; surrender and adoption fees;
memberships and donations; bequests from animal lovers; contracts with some
municipalities to provide shelter to animals seized by their dog control
officers, and grants from charitable foundations.
We continue to strive to provide
the best care for our animals at the CNYSPCA. Your donations allow us to
continue to provide excellent medical care, love, and a safe haven for our lost,
abandoned, neglected, and surrendered animals. We invite you to consider

Be a part of our
Recurring
Giving Program ….
 A
recurring donation is a pre-authorized arrangement in which a donor authorizes
the Central New York SPCA to make a donation against a specific credit card
account, for a specified donation amount. Donors can set up monthly, quarterly
or annual recurring donation(s). Recurring gifts provide a consistent, reliable
income stream to the shelter. Donors often prefer this method of giving because
it's easy to budget and it feels great to be making a difference in the lives of
so many animals consistently, throughout the year. At this time, recurring
donations can only be processed using Visa and MasterCard.

Donors can cancel a recurring
donation pledge at any time by send in a written request to do so, to The
Central New York SPCA, 5878 East Molloy Road, Syracuse New York 13211. All
request received after the 15th of the month would apply to that following
month, for monthly giving only.
Planned Giving
Planned giving is a unique philanthropic tool that allows you the opportunity to
ensure that the Central New York SPCA will be able to continue into the future.
Planned gifts include bequests through your will, gifts that provide income to
you and others for life, gifts of life insurance, charitable lead trusts, and
gifts of retirement plans.
Ways to give through wills and trusts:
- Leave a specific dollar
amount
- Designate that a percentage
of your estate be given through your will or living trust.
- Give only the remainder, or
residue, of your estate—that which remains after bequests to loved ones have
been made.
- Provide for a gift of
specific property-real estate, stocks or other items.
An individual may designate that a bequest be used for the general purposes of
the Central New York SPCA, or go to support a specific program. Funds can be set
up as restricted or unrestricted.
The following is a suggested form for such a bequest:
“I give and bequeath to The
Central New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a
not-for-profit corporation, located at 5878 East Molloy Road, Syracuse, New
York 13211, the sum of $________, to be used for the accomplishment of its
general purposes (or for a specific purpose, as indicated).”

United Way - Donor Option
The Central New York
SPCA may receive contributions through the United Way Donor Option Program.
To participate, all you need to do is request a Donor Option form from you
company's United Way representative. As a reminder even if you designated a
United Way contribution to the CNYSPCA in the past, you must fill out a new
donor option form each year.

Donate a Kuranda Bed
We have chosen Kuranda
dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We
still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a
