Animals for Adoption

Hi I'm Happy! No I'm not one of the seven dwarfs! I am 1.5 years old and I'm named Happy because I smile all the time and I'm super friendly. I love people and just want to be around them all the time. I also like other dogs. I'm good with children. I'm house trained too! I am a fast learner. I was adopted a few weeks ago but my new dad passed away suddenly and I was brought back to the CNYSPCA. I loved my new home. I had a comfy couch and my own person to hang out with. I heard one of the volunteers say I'm so perfect. I think that's a good thing because she's always giving me kisses! Please ask to see me outside my kennel so I can show you how friendly I am.

Hi, I am a strawberry blonde and I have a great butt- my name is J-Lo! I am the CNYSPCA's resident rock star! I am Jacqueline, Jackie or J-Lo as my friends now call me. But I will answer to whatever you like. I am about 2-3 years old. I am sweet, loveable and very happy-go-lucky. I love to be with people and play with my toys. I get along wonderfully with children of all ages and people of all ages too! I ride in the car great and usually fall asleep! I like other dogs, but not cats. Is it too early to ask for a Christmas wish? If not, I wish for a family to call my very own. So, if you want to wake up Christmas morning and see me opening my presents, please ask my friends at the CNYSPCA to introduce us.

Canine Behavioral Consultants –
Training with Mitch Stahl

For More Information

Mitch Stahl has been helping central new Yorkers relate to their dogs for over 20 years. Mitch’s approach to helping people establish a relationship with their dog is based on basic psychology and wolf pack behavior. By dealing with the issues that appeal to your dog’s pack instincts in a way that shapes the perception that you are a leader, you can establish leadership without the dog every hearing anything from you but love and positive reinforcement.

Obedience training is just one of the tools used in the process and socializing the to the basic commands alone is sometimes not enough.
